The facility
Fifty-five groomed kilometres, and a biathlon range to match
Otway is not a small operation. Fifty-five kilometres of groomed trail, lit night skiing, dog-friendly trails, numerous snowshoe trails, a world-class biathlon facility, paved trails for the summer and a rental shop on site. Most clubs in the province have one or two of those.

Out on the snow
Set tracks, lights, snowshoe trails and a range
Fifty-five kilometres of groomed trail is the headline, but it is not the whole of it. There is night skiing, there are trails where dogs are welcome, there are numerous snowshoe trails away from the tracks, and there is a biathlon facility on site.

Twelve months a year
The snow leaves in April. The trails do not.
Otway has paved trails for the summer as well as the groomed winter network, and the club runs summer programs alongside them. It means a membership is not a four-month purchase, and it means the club has something to say in July — which is worth more to a website than it sounds.

Early bird, and why the date matters
For 2025/2026 the early-bird rate ran until 30 November. A deadline like that only works if the page carrying it is unambiguously about the season you are in — which is the whole argument of this concept.
How joining works →Youth & school
Lessons, youth programs, school programs
Ski lessons, programs for young skiers and programs run with schools — the front door for most families at Otway.
Racing
Biathlon, competitive cross-country, UNBC varsity
A world-class biathlon facility, a competitive cross-country stream and the UNBC varsity team, all on the same trails.
