A staffed operation, on one site, all year
Caledonia Nordic Ski Club runs 55 km of groomed trail, a world-class biathlon facility, a rental shop, paved summer trails and eight program streams from 8141 Otway Road in Prince George — with staff, an office and a General Manager.
Not a kitchen-table club
There is an office, and somebody answers it
Most nordic clubs in northern British Columbia are run entirely by volunteers on evenings and weekends. Caledonia Nordic is a step past that: there is paid staff, there is a General Manager, and there is a published office address and inbox that a member can actually use.
That matters for what you can expect. A phone call in November gets answered by somebody whose job it is to answer it, not by a volunteer who is also grooming that night.
What that means for a membership
Membership money goes into grooming 55 kilometres, lighting the trails, keeping a biathlon facility to standard, staffing a rental shop and running eight program streams. It is a year-round operation with a payroll, not a season of good intentions.

The club's current board composition could not be confirmed from published material, and putting an unverified name on a real organisation's page is not a risk worth taking for a demonstration. Everything routes through the club's own office line and inbox.
Who Otway is for
Six different people, one set of trails
A site with 55 km, lights, a range, snowshoe trails and paved summer trails is not serving one kind of visitor. Each of these already has something waiting for them here.

A child under six skis free with an adult member, and a junior with an adult member pays a fraction of the adult rate.

First-timers
Ski lessons and a rental shop on site, so a first visit does not begin with buying equipment.

Racers
Competitive cross-country, biathlon and the UNBC varsity team, all training on the same 55 km.

Snowshoers
Numerous snowshoe trails, and a cheaper snowshoe-only membership for people who never intend to put skis on.

Dog-friendly trails, so the dog is not the reason somebody stays home.

School programs, which for a lot of Prince George children are the first time they stand on nordic skis.

Joining, and the early-bird date
Memberships are cheapest as an early bird — for the published 2025/2026 season that ran until 30 November. This concept has no form and no payment control, and does not represent the club's own registration system.

This is an unsolicited concept redesign built by JnP Studio. Nobody at the club asked for it, nobody at the club has approved it, and it is deliberately hidden from search engines. Every fact on it comes from the club's own published material; every photograph is a stock placeholder and is marked as one.
The club already has a website and already invests in it. This is not an argument that it needs replacing — it is one afternoon's demonstration of what the membership path could read like before the early-bird window opens. If the club would like it taken down, that is an easy conversation.
