Fifty-five groomed kilometres, ten minutes from town
The trails start at 8141 Otway Road, on the northwest side of Prince George. Fifty-five kilometres of them are groomed through the winter, some are lit for skiing after dark, and dogs are welcome on their own trails.

Lights on, for the months when it is dark at four
In a Prince George winter the daylight does not last long enough to ski after work. Night skiing exists for exactly that reason — trails you can do in the evening, in the middle of the week, in January.
The club has not published which trails are lit, how many kilometres are lit, or the evenings the lights are on. Those three answers would belong right here, and this concept does not invent them.
Not only classic tracks
Dogs, snowshoes and a rifle range
A club this size has to work for everybody who wants to be out in the snow, not only for people on skinny skis. So there are separate trails for the things that do not belong in a set track.

The club describes its biathlon facility as world-class. It is used by the club’s own biathlon program and sits on the same site as the ski trails.

The summer half
Otway has paved trails for the summer and the club runs summer programs on them. No distance, surface description or seasonal opening date has been published for the paved network — so this concept shows none, rather than filling the space with a number nobody has confirmed.

In a real build this is where the trail map would sit — zoomable, downloadable, readable on a phone with gloves on. We have deliberately left it out of this concept, and we have not invented trail names, grades or distances beyond the published 55 km.

The trails, the range and the rental shop are all on the one site at Otway. It is close enough to town that skiing after work is a realistic idea, which is most of the point of lighting the trails.
